Despite what many people think, you may be surprised what the average Cash Relief client looks like.
Our average client is aged in their early thirties, with a slightly higher percentage of female to male clients. These people earn an average after tax income of $36,000 in the following industries, admin-clerical, accounts, education, health, insurance, government agencies, sales and IT.
Surprised? Most people are!
The majority of our customers are just hard working everyday kiwi’s like you and I. We all have the same difficulties from time to time and need a quick fix, short term loan to cover these items. Of course taking any loan is not something that should be considered lightly. But at Cash Relief we have a responsible lending criteria and policies in place to ensure the welfare of our clients. We often refuse credit to many applicants whenever we believe the loan could put them under too much financial pressure.
Of course there are a number of critics of our industry who see things differently. They consider that we target vulnerable customers on the breadline and just take advantage of these people. Well as you can see the facts speak for themselves and clearly Cash Relief clients don’t fall into this category.
We are also a supporter of a number of community organisations including the Stellar Trust which develops programmes that will in time lead to a major reduction in the usage of methamphetamine – the drug “P”, which is particularly popular amongst many younger New Zealander’s and the Starship Children’s Hospital.
So that it's the truth of what we are about.
